A sacrificial wall tie is a type of wall tie that is designed to be left in place after the removal of formwork in concrete construction. Sacrificial wall ties are usually made of mild steel and have a break-off point that allows the outer part of the tie to be snapped off, leaving the inner part embedded in the concrete.
